*Please note only ticketholders will be admitted into the event*
On Sunday, October 9, 2011, the 2nd annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Los Angeles, will return to the beautiful Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades for one of the most highly anticipated and stylish events of the season.
Angelenos are invited to watch world-renowned polo player and event co-host Nacho Figueras and his team, Black Watch, go head-to-head against some of the best polo players in the world, all while sipping Veuve Clicquot and enjoying fare from some of Los Angeles’ most beloved gourmet food trucks. Bleachers will be provided for watching the match, and there will be plenty of room for picnicking on the grounds.
Set on the idyllic grounds where Hollywood celebrity and polo connoisseur Will Rogers used to play polo himself, this historic site is located just outside Rogers’ former private home. In reverence to the gaiety of the sport’s 1920s and 1930s heyday, guests are encouraged to don fashions inspired by that era, as well as traditional polo looks including daring hats for women and daytime suits for men.
Tickets to attend the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic are $15, with the event benefiting the Will Rogers State Historic Park. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold onsite. There is a limited quantity available – so get yours today! CLICK HERE to purchase.
The event will support the preservation of the Will Rogers State Historic Park. Faced with narrowing state budgets and staff reductions, the park depends largely on public and private partnerships like The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation and The Will Rogers Polo Club, as well as private contributions, for financial support of preservation efforts.
