Will Rogers State Historic Park
Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades, CA, is where Hollywood stars including Will Rogers, Clark Gable, Walt Disney and Spencer Tracy once enjoyed the "sport of kings". Today, the Will Roger's State Historic Park's polo field sits on the original site of Will Rogers' private home and is the only polo field left in Los Angeles. Faced with narrowing state budgets and staff reductions, the park depends largely on public and private partnerships like The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation and The Will Rogers Polo Club – non-profit organizations dedicated to honoring the legacy of Will Rogers through interpretation, education and the ongoing restoration, rehabilitation, and preservation of Will Rogers State Historic Park – and private contributions for financial support of preservation efforts. Through the first annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, Los Angeles, Veuve Clicquot is proud to support The Will Rogers Ranch Foundation and their efforts to preserve the beautiful oasis that is the Will Rogers State Historic Park. In addition, Veuve Clicquot is proud to support the Will Rogers Polo Club and their ongoing dedication to keeping polo alive in Los Angeles.

Will Rogers State Historic Park
The Will Rogers State Historic Park was the private ranch home of actor Will Rogers in the 1930s where he was known to relax with family and friends, pursuing his favorite pastimes of riding, roping and playing polo with local Hollywood luminaries.
At the time of his untimely death in a plane crash in 1935, Will Rogers' Ranch consisted of a 31 room ranch house, a stable, corrals, riding ring, roping area, polo field, golf course and hiking trails. When his widow, Betty, died in 1944, the ranch became a state park.
